Kandy to Hatton – Tea Country
Kandy to Hatton, approximately 3 hrs. Scenic drive into deeper tea country through mountain roads, waterfalls and estate landscapes. Check in to a colonial-style tea bungalow or boutique estate retreat. For Tea Trails-style bungalows, book 8 to 10 weeks ahead in peak season, confirm king or double bed configuration in writing, and request the couple’s preferred bungalow where possible. Hatton – Tea Bungalow Slow Day
Hatton tea bungalow slow day. A full day in tea country designed for romance and stillness. Morning estate walk with tea fields, misty viewpoints and photography stops. Couple’s Abhyanga massage, herbal tea preparation session or private picnic among the plantations, with the private estate picnic pre-arranged as a confirmed romantic inclusion and briefed to the property at least 48 hrs ahead. Hatton to Ella – Scenic Train or Road-Rail
Hatton to Ella by scenic train or road-rail combination, approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hrs depending on routing. Use the road-rail combination as the default: drive from Hatton to Nanu Oya, then board the Nanu Oya to Ella train for the most dramatic hill-country rail section. Book the observation carriage in advance. Arrive in Ella and check in to a hill-view lodge. Evening sunset terrace dining or quiet cafe walk. Overnight in Ella.

Ella – Soft Adventure and Private Moments
Ella soft adventure and private moments. Morning hike to Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views. Visit Nine Arch Bridge and enjoy a picnic-style photography stop if timing allows, arranged with a local operator at least 24 hrs ahead. Ella to Yala
Ella to Yala, approximately 3 to 3.5 hrs via Wellawaya. Descend from the cool highlands into southern dry-zone wilderness. Stop at Ravana Falls or a scenic village viewpoint on the way; where possible, guide couples to the upper Ravana Falls viewpoint rather than only the roadside lower falls. Afternoon private jeep safari in Yala National Park focusing on leopards, elephants, crocodiles and golden-hour landscapes. Overnight near Yala in a luxury safari lodge or tented camp.

Yala to Tangalle
Yala to Tangalle, approximately 2 hrs. Optional dawn safari for wildlife lovers or relaxed breakfast at the lodge. From May to September, confirm Yala Block 1 access before booking and substitute Udawalawe if Yala access is restricted. Continue to Tangalle for a quiet southern beach stay. Afternoon ocean breathing session, beach walk, Ayurveda massage or private pool villa relaxation. Overnight in Tangalle.

Tangalle – Romantic Coast Day
Tangalle romantic coast day. Full day on the southern coast. Optional Hiriketiya surf lesson, Mulkirigala Rock Temple visit, lagoon kayaking, mindful beach walking or saltwater immersion therapy. From May to October, brief couples that Tangalle seas can be rough and substitute Pasikudah or extend Yala or Udawalawe to 2 nights if calmer beach conditions are required. Tangalle – Galle – Colombo – Departure
Tangalle to Galle to Colombo departure. Morning coastal drive to Galle Fort. Explore the lighthouse, ramparts, Dutch-era streets, galleries and boutique cafes. Optional final couple’s lunch inside the fort before continuing along the Southern Expressway to Colombo or Bandaranaike International Airport. Departure.
