Overview
The Knuckles UNESCO biosphere reserve is one of Sri Lanka’s most genuinely undervisited landscapes. Cloud forest above 1,500 metres, endemic birds and wildlife, river crossings and ridge routes with views across the central highlands. Trail selection is confirmed against the group’s fitness level. Almost no other visitors. The near-absence of tourist infrastructure is one of its defining qualities.
